EFM® provides both hydrophilic and hydrophobic PTFE products according to the customers’ needs through either traditional chemical surface etching or advanced hydrophilic technology.
<Hydrophobic ePTFE membrane technology and application>
PTFE porous membrane filtration products are made of natural permanent hydrophobic PTFE material. The number of pores, the size of pores, and the volume of pores in its excellent 3D network structure can be tuned and controlled by a special stretching production process. The pore size of ePTFE is 0.05um to 10um, which can be customized according to customer needs. The hydrophobicity, interwoven fibres, and a number of 5 billion pores of ePTFE can block liquid water droplets but allow cleaning gas to pass through, thereby achieving solid-gas separation. Our high water pressure resistance products can also be used in seawater desalination projects, allowing clean water vapour without salt molecules to pass through and blocking liquid seawater. This is a liquid-gas separation technology.

<Hydrophilic ePTFE membrane technology and application>
The hydrophilic ePTFE membrane is obtained by modifying the hydrophobic membrane through a special method.
